Proven at the counter

The Marion Market Antique Mall runs 111 vendors on Scoutt—real sales, real dealer checks, and month-end from the same ledger.

111 vendors

One continuous record

From paper tag to dealer check.

The number keyed at the counter follows the sale through close-out, statement, and payout. No re-entry and no second spreadsheet to make agree.

  1. 01

    Ring sales fast

Hand-key a vendor number and a price — the whole sale in two boxes. Booth tags and product barcodes scan straight into the line when a booth uses them, and nothing ever requires them.

  2. 02

    Settle every month in minutes

Commission, rent, and fees calculate automatically. Print every dealer check with one click. Statements match the register to the penny, every time.

  3. 03

Vendors stay in the loop — free, forever

Nightly sold-item emails plus a live portal, for every vendor, at no per-vendor charge — unlimited vendors, unlimited recipients. It’s included in the subscription, not a paid per-dealer add-on.

Made for a working floor

Everything the counter needs. Nothing it doesn’t.

The practical jobs your counter and back office do every day, kept together and easy to find.

01

Multi-sale register tabs

Hold several sales at once and split a single sale across cash, card, gift card, or a vendor’s account without losing your place.

02

Printable reports & 1099s

Daily close-out packs, vendor statements, sales-tax totals, and tenure-safe 1099s built from the same ledger as your settlement — so the numbers always match. There’s only one ledger, so your 1099 totals and your reports can never drift apart.

03

Gift cards & layaways

Sell a branded, printable gift card at the register. Layaway with a down payment and an installment schedule, built in.

04

Detective search

Find any sold item in seconds — fuzzy search across every sale line ever rung, filtered by date, vendor, or price.

05

Scheduled booth discounts

Set a discount campaign for one vendor or the whole floor. It auto-applies at the register during the window, then expires itself — no clerk has to remember to turn it off.

06

Daily close-out with drawer counts

Count the drawer, reconcile paid-in and paid-out, and close the day with an X/Z report — no spreadsheet required.

Switching systems

Your old numbers come with you.

Bring one file. We import vendor numbers, sales history, balances, and gift certificates—then recompute your last settlement and match it to the penny before cutover.

Cutover checklist

Verified
  • Vendor roster, numbers preserved
  • Full sales & settlement history
  • Open balances & gift certificates
  • Matched to the penny before cutover

Nothing changes at the counter until you have seen the totals agree for yourself.

Plain-spoken pricing

One price for the whole floor.

Not per register. Not per staff member. Not per dealer receiving an email. Scoutt covers the counter and the back office together.

Rather see it than read about it?

The demo shop is stocked, staffed, and open. Walk the floor, open a booth, read a real settlement — nothing to install and nothing to sign.

Before you change systems

Straight answers for careful owners.

You should be cautious about moving your books. These are the questions we would ask too.

Do my vendors have to use barcodes or scan anything?

No — hand-keying a vendor number and a price is the whole day-one workflow, the same one your staff already know. Scanning is fully supported when you want it: a booth’s printed tag or a product barcode rings the item straight in, prefilled. Labels are a choice, never a requirement.

What happens to my history when I switch?

It comes with you. Vendor numbers, full sales and settlement history, open balances, and outstanding gift certificates all import from your existing system. Before you go live, we re-run your last settlement on the imported data and show you it matches your old numbers to the penny — so you can verify it yourself before you commit to anything.

What hardware do I need?

Less than you’d think, and you can likely reuse what you already own. A receipt printer, a cash drawer, and a barcode scanner if you use one — that’s it. No dedicated PC: any laptop, iPad, or desktop with a modern browser works at the counter. If you take cards through Square, the hardware you already have for it keeps working.

Is my data locked in?

No — and we mean that as a permanent commitment, not a launch promise. Every report, every sale, every vendor record exports to CSV, any time you want it, with no fee and no waiting period. If you ever decide to leave, you leave with everything you came with, plus everything you’ve added since.

Do I have to change how I take card payments?

No. Bring the card reader and processor you already use — Scoutt records which tender a sale was paid with and never touches the money. If you would rather not key the total into a second machine, you can optionally connect your own Square account and pair a Square Terminal, and the register will send the amount over and record the payment itself. Either way the merchant account is yours, the deposits are yours, and Scoutt takes no percentage of a card sale at the counter.

What if my WiFi goes down mid-sale?

The register keeps working. Sales made while your connection drops are queued on the device and sync automatically the moment you’re back online. Anything the server won’t accept is flagged for staff to review — a sale is never silently dropped.

A calmer month-end starts at the counter

Walk through a live demo shop — the dashboard, the booths, a real settlement. No account, no call, no obligation.
